New Specs

Freedom

I got contact lenses today. I haven't worn contacts since 1981. This is an attempt to save money since I won't be having to pay an obscene amount of money for frames since I wear eyeglass frames in the 50s and the cheap ones are usually too small or look too prophylactic. So this should shave about $100 a year off the cost of eyewear.

I remember when I was a teenager and had them before my mom wanted to go to the mall and we were at my aunt's house. I asked if we could stop by the house so that I could put in my contacts. She said we didn't need to interrupt the shopping trip because of my vanity.

Wanting to put in your contact lenses is not vanity. Wanting to be buried in your contact lenses is.
